01. I recently fell in love with everything Sarah Ellison Studio — the furniture designs, the interiors they’re showcased in (both physical and virtual), the photography of them and marketing around them.

To promote their collaboration with Pantone, the studio posted up at a Sydney café and created a beautiful newspaper. They also made this short-film reel, a meditation on the collaborative hue and its evocation of records and coffee. I also love this delicious work of art. I love that a chair went “on tour”. I love so much of not only the designs the studio creates but the artwork that supports them. Major inspiration.

02. One of my recent joys has been sharing my love of art with my daughter. Her bookshelf is already filled with childrens’ books about artists like Yayoi Kusama and Georgia O’Keefe. She just got her first set of crayons. This summer she had her first museum experience at The Broad’s Murakami exhibit, and last week we took her to see the Cy Twombly show at The Getty.

03. I’ve long loved watching Violette’s makeup videos on Youtube, and now I love watching her short tutorials on Instagram. This look is one I’d love to wear. I already love her Petal Bouche red lip, and now the Marron Glacé Yeux Paint is on my wish list.

04. Style-wise, I’ve been the most inspired by children’s fashion lately. When it comes to baby clothes, I prefer them rather plain; I don’t like when garish colors and patterns overwhelm the delicateness of a tiny baby. But now that my daughter is a bit older, I’m enjoying the colors and whimsy of children’s fashion. I love this playful pattern, this sweet collared sweater, this colorful costume-y getup, all of this brand’s graphic goods…and I just ordered these retro hair clips for my little one.

05. A few good reads:

  • Lessons in Chemistry was so good that when I was forced to return my digital copy to the library, I immediately bought the kindle version so I could finish.

  • I want to jump into Elin Hilderbrand’s books and live my Nantucket fantasy life. Her latest The Hotel Nantucket doesn’t disappoint: fun, uplifting, juicy — a page-turner.

  • Emma Straub’s latest book This Time Tomorrow is a parent-child love story that got me emotional about time, especially now that I’m a mom!
