Is there a color that makes you happy every time you see it? For me, that color is orange. Especially since my home and wardrobe are mostly based in neutrals, a pop of orange is extra-impactful. I think orange, for some, is a little too “out-there” or mired in archetypical images of jack-o-lanterns, carrots, and prison jumpsuits. On the contrary, I think orange can be incredibly wearable and versatile — looking incredible with black, camel, white, red, and blue, and even green and purple if paired well. I realized that orange is all over fashion — from Grace Coddington’s wild mane to Hermès boxes to Nina Ricci’s Spring 2020 runway. I’m seeing more and more evidence that orange should be promoted from a little “pop” to the star of the show.
